Back in the 80s, a guy got 2.8 million people to mail him a penny and paid for college. In 2005, someone traded a paperclip for a house. I’m trying my own experiment: in Canada, you can send money by email—so send me any amount you like, and let’s see where this goes.
Chip in a loonie, a toonie, or whatever feels right. Send your e-transfer to:

FAQ
What is this?
A curiosity-driven social experiment about generosity and internet behaviour in Canada.
Where does the money go?
I’m collecting it personally. I’ll publish totals here. This is not a charity receipt situation.
Is this a scam?
It can’t be a scam because I’m not offering anything.
Will you publish my name?
No legal names or emails–only a display name/location you’ve included, and only if I approve it.
Do you geolocate me automatically?
No. If you include a location in your transfer comment (e.g., ”Halifax, NS“), I may map it.
Refunds?
Interac e-Transfers are final once accepted. Please only send what you’re comfortable gifting.
Privacy
I won’t share emails or any identifying info. I may publish your message/location if you intended it for public display and I approve it. You can ask for removal via canadian@dollaremail.ca.
